This variety is particularly suitable for leaf cultivation and stalk cultivation. If the young leaves and leafstalks are not harvested, it is also possible to eat the stalks of the mature plants. These can be prepared in the same way as asparagus. This well known vegetable is an old favourite. Very tasty and healthy. Contains various minerals, particularly sodium and calcium. Sow at row distances of 20-25 cm. Then thin out lightly to approx. 5 cm distance. It is, however, sensitive to running to seed.
