The fresh leaves give soups, sauces, scrambled eggs, spinach, carrots and potatoes a strong celery flavour. Chopped it gives salads a fine aromatic and spicy flavour. With beef and lamb Lavas is an important seasoning, also making these dishes more digestible. Sow in a greenhouse in seed trays.
