A vigorously growing, bright green iceberg lettuce with crenated leaf edges and a heavy closed head, which resembles headed cabbage. Does not run to seed quickly. The heads keep for a fairly long time when cooled. Sow as of March in a greenhouse and as of late March can be sown directly in the garden. Thin out liberally and keep sufficiently moist in dry weather. Lettuce can be sown in very cold weather (> 10ºC).
